Erin go bragh!

Hello to all my Irish cousins…in Ireland and beyond the Pale.  Today is the special day to be proud to claim our Irish heritage.  We have a history rich with storytellers, musicians and just plain folk.  Our families have scattered to all parts of the globe from our emerald isle to begin new lives and extend the reach of our ancestors.

So, I raise a toast to all…

May the road rise up to meet you

May the wind be always at your back

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again

May god hold you in the palm of his/her hand…

This is beautiful! I love my Irish Heritage, and am so proud of all the people who have written about it and stayed in touch with their roots! Go Irish!

Yes, it is great to be Irish. My great grandmother came to the US in 1849 from Limerick. Sailed on a ship around the horn and ended up in San Francisco. Fascinating story.
