Do you eat alone? I do. I don’t have a partner, a boarder, a spouse, or an animal in my house. So, it is easy to fall into bad eating habits, like snacking in front of the TV, getting takeout, making a sandwich, etc. I’m sure you could add some bad eating habits of your own. Well, we all know that to stay healthy at any age, but especially as we get older, nutritious food is important to maintaining our health. Whether you are a vegetarian, a meat eater, or just don’t care about food, it is part of our daily life.
March is Reduce Hunger Month for AARP. Many elderly do not get enough to eat. Meals on Wheels is vital and may be their only food for the day. Contact your state AARP office to see if you can help. Check with your County or city food bank and volunteer to bring food to them.
