Pie & Pasta COMBOS — No Way!

Doesn’t pie and pasta sound gross?    This came to me in an ad for a chain of restaurants.  It does to me, even if I weren’t on weight watchers.

As Ben Franklin said, “To lengthen thy life {and thy retirement years} lessen thy meals.”  Good advice from old Ben.

One of the things I have noticed in this second week of my weight watchers plan is that I don’t get hungry and I am satisfied with good food.  No cookies or cakes or pies in this house.

This morning I had 2 pieces of toast and coffee with skim milk.  Was going to have an egg, but started reading my emails and the time got away from me… suddenly it was time for…Silver Sneakers!  Good class today.  I found some of it challenging, which is a good thing.  After class I had a banana, drove home, took a shower, and then had a nice lunch of Progreso light soup and some nonfat cottage cheese with mandarin orange pieces.  For dinner tonight I had a small piece of fresh salmon, a baked sweet potato, and steamed broccoli.  Tasty and filling.

What did you have for dinner?
