Standing on the Weighing Scale…

Well, today was my weigh in day at Weight Watchers.  Just finished my third week.  Week three was not easy.  I had a meeting in Portland, OR and stayed at Hotel Modera near the Portland State University campus.  Right downtown.  Lovely hotel and a great restaurant attached.  Nel Centro.  If you are ever in downtown Portland, I certainly recommend this.   The food at Nel Centro is drawn mainly from the south of Italy.  Very Mediterranean, so it was easy to find excellent and nutritious light fare.

So, when I weighed in this morning I was very happy to see that I had lost almost three pounds!  Yeah!  That means I have lost a total of 6.4 pounds since April 2!    That meant that I earned a gold 5 pound star sticker.  Who would have thought that I would think this was a big deal?  Well, it was and I look forward to more awards.  If I continue like this, I will be able to reach my goal weight by my birthday in September!

How does it feel?  It feels good.

The meeting today was on being your own best friend and telling yourself positive things about yourself every day.  “I believe that I can do it.”  “I believe that I have choices.”  I believe in action, not reaction.”  YES!  The meetings are a place to share…or not, but always to listen for ideas.

It has cost me $5.63 a pound to lose so far, but it has been worth every penny…

What does your scale say?
