Always loved that song. All of us want a little romance in our lives. For some, it’s a partner and a night on the town. For others…a good romance novel. I have noticed that romance novels have changed a bit over the years. The writing seems to have gotten better and the sex scenes a little more graphic. The formula is still there. Woman with problem. Something dramatic happens in her life. Woman meets man. And on from there.
Emma Cane’s A TOWN CALLED VALENTINE follows that outline. Emily Murphy is the main character. She returns to her hometown in the mountains of Colorado after her marriage in San Francisco falls apart. On her first night back she has an encounter with a handsome (aren’t they always?) rancher…and it was not what she had in mind… Hmmm… Family secrets change Emily’s perception of herself and of the rancher, Nate Thalberg. It is hard to hide from love in a place known for romance, family, and happily ever afters…You might like A TOWN CALLED VALENTINE, an Avon romance.
